EP Martial Arts delivers multidisciplinary combat sports education and self-defense training at 345 Taunton Avenue in East Providence, Rhode Island. The gym originated in September 2012 under the name Sanshou Fighting and Fitness before transitioning to its current title to serve practitioners and families across the region. The facility was established through the collaborative efforts of Bart Axelrod, a judoka and third-degree Uechi-Ryu karate black belt who began training Sanshou under instructor Tyre Wesley in 2004, alongside Celtic Judo coach Wayne Dickinson. The teaching staff guides students through technical body mechanics, stand-up grappling, and tactical mat exchanges. Instructional pathways encompass Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Sanda Kickboxing, Wing Chun Kung Fu, Krav Maga, Judo, Jeet Kune Do, Kali weapon arts, mixed martial arts, Catch Wrestling, and Youth Martial Arts programs.
