Lloyd Irvin's Martial Arts Academy operates at 6333 Old Branch Avenue, Suite 302 in Camp Springs, MD 20748. The facility is situated in the Old Branch Crossings Shopping Center off Branch Avenue near the Capital Beltway. Academy head Lloyd Irvin began martial arts training at age 3 and was recognized as the 2005 Brazilian Jiu Jitsu World Champion. He is an accomplished grappler and coach whose competitive honors include U.S. National Judo Champion titles in 2001 and 2002, alongside National Brazilian Team Championships medal honors in Brazil. The academy offers a curriculum covering BJJ White Belt Basics, BJJ Blue Belts & Above, BJJ Advanced (16 Classes & Up), and No Gi Grappling. Additional training includes Thai-Jitsu Orientation, Thai Jitsu, Muay Thai Fight Team, The Combat Athlete Program, and a dedicated Kids Program. Belt examinations are scheduled on the last Friday of each month.
