Rogue Island Combat operates at 1200 Bald Hill Rd in Warwick, Rhode Island. The gym offers martial arts training led by Grandmaster Seng (Kru Pov), a survivor of the Khmer Rouge who immigrated to the United States in 1988. Holding a ninth-degree black belt in Hapkido and a professional Kun Khmer record of 18-1, Grandmaster Seng brings over sixty years of martial arts experience to the academy. Striking coach Kru Boa holds a fourth-degree black belt in Hapkido with more than forty years in martial arts, assisted by instructor Song Kim, a United States Army veteran and two-time Best Warrior honoree in 2019. The curriculum features Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instruction focused on body mechanics, self-defense applications, positional problem-solving, flexibility, and muscular endurance. Stand-up combat arts include Southeast Asian striking disciplines such as Kun Khmer, Muay Thai, and Muay Lao, with drop-in attendance available at twenty-five dollars per class. Youth martial arts programming for students ages five and up combines elements of Taekwondo, Hapkido, and Kun Khmer to develop balance, agility, coordination, and self-discipline.
