Battle Ground MMA

Battle Ground MMA operates as Black Belt USA and Battleground MMA at 5943 Steilacoom Blvd SW, at the intersection of Steilacoom Blvd SW and Bridgeport Way SW in Lakewood, Washington. Head Instructor Master Rocky Burns began training in Taekwondo in 1982, has taught martial arts since 2002, and has also been an assistant high school wrestling coach for many years. He coaches alongside Master JD, a 4th Dan in Taekwondo and professional Pacific Northwest MMA fighter who holds 4 title belts and competes in kickboxing, wrestling, and jujitsu, as well as Master Taylor, a 4th Dan with a high school wrestling and MMA background. Additional instruction is provided by Instructor Mr. Tyler Dungan and Assistant Instructor Mr. Brett, a 3rd degree black belt. The school teaches Taekwondo, with black belts registered with World Taekwondo, and its instructors offer private lessons for Taekwondo, MMA, Cardio, or Self-Defense.
